Lengthwise edges are selvege; both ends are finished with knotted lace fringe.

A pair of drawnwork lace stripes at either end outlines a stripe of BIG, BEAUTIFUL, 4 1/2" tall, damask-woven pansies. Smaller pansies scatter over the central ground.

Horizontal threads have been drawn from the fabric to form lace stripes and fringe. Remaining threads within the stripes have been worked into X-patterns. Fringe threads are pulled into groups knotted into an open-diamonds lace pattern before extending into loose fringe.
