T-58 Vintage Huck Linen & Damask Towel Art Nouveau Design -- Monogrammed G

24" by 41", this towel combines the practicality of huck linen, that textured weave of Irish linen so prized by our mothers and grandmothers for its absorbency and lint-free polishing, with a GLORIOUS Art Nouveau damask woven design and hand finishing. Lengthwise edges are selvege; a single row of open hemstitching finishes the ends. The 7 1/2" design spreads across either end. Leaves and flowers emerge from rippling water. The quality of the linen and fineness of the weave give crisp outlines, intricate details and a lovely sheen. The 3 1/2" tall monogram G is worked in white heavily padded satin stitch for that three-dimensional effect.
