This set combines the subtle texture of white linen with handmade lace.
Back edges are selvege. Fronts and sides are finished with rows of drawnwork lace, criss-crossing at the corners. Selected threads are removed from the fabric to create openwork stripes. Remaining threads are pulled together into X-patterns and over-woven for strength. Wheel patterns fill the corner squares.
Drawnwork, eyelet lace and lace inserts form designs within the border. Oval cut-outs hold flowers inserts. Edges, petals and connectors are finished with closely-worked buttonhole stitching.
This runner set is in very good condition; washed, ironed and ready for your home.
