16" by 23", this table runner or dresser scarf combines the subtle texture of fine white linen with silver-tone and white handmade lace and embroidery.
Closely-worked buttonhole stitching finishes the scalloped edge.
Exquisite 4" by 6" designs decorate either end; smaller patterns along the sides. Flowers, leaves and curly-ques curve around a shield-shaped medallion.
Drawnwork forms an open-squares lace inside the medallion. Embroidery on both sides of the fabric creates that soft, special-effects look. Curly-ques are satin-stitched on the underside, outlined and detailed on the topside, showing through as a soft shadow with crisp accents. Padded satin stitch adds three-dimensional leaves and petals. Tiny Madeira seed dots texturize the spreading petals. Open-eyelets add further lacy touches.
