15" by 18" by about 1" thick, this pillow combines a soft shading with lace and embroidery for an ultra-feminine effect.
A heart-shaped pillow is enclosed in semi-sheer ivory-tone fabric. Two ruffled edges border the pillow. The front shows a Southern Belle reaching toward a butterfly.

The back 1 1/2" ruffle is made of the basic fabric, gathered, and finished with black blanket stitching. It is this ruffle that is damaged....An edge piece about 1/4" by 3" is torn, hanging by a thread. You would have the choice of trying to re-attach the piece (it looks hard to sew, maybe an iron-on backing would do it) or trimming off the back ruffle. The front ruffle is made of 3/4" net lace with a dainty pattern and scalloped edge. It has yellow spots.
Two techniques, arts and crafts style, create the lovely pastel front design. Hand-embroidery stands out on a softly-shading pink background. A heart-shaped wreath of daisy-petal flowers frames the blond Belle and her butterfly. Pastel colors with black outlines and accents are worked in outline, petal and satin stitch, with French knots adding a three-dimensional effect.
This pillow will need to be cleaned and repaired....
BUT, OH....THE CHARM!
