PC-2 Vintage Souvenir Pillow Cover

Scenes of Chicago

20" by 21 1/2", including fringe, this pillow cover will hold a pillow about 16" by 17". It was probably a souvenir of a long-ago trip to the windy city.

The black satin back and peach-rose satin front are sewn together on three sides. The open edge allows easy pillow insertion. 2" gold fringe trims the edges.

Cream-colored paint on the front shows and labels the sights of Chicago. A star on the Lake Michigan map locates the city; large script identifies it. Famous buildings, such as the Art Institute, Union Station, Navy Pier, etc. are silhouetted in considerable detail.

Years of storage have left a slightly faded line vertically across the center. This pillow cover is in very good condition.
