Because needlepoint is a form of embroidery that is usually worked on the diagonal. The finished piece emerges out of square and should be blocked before using. Several web sites give simple instructions for blocking or your local dry cleaner will be happy to do it for you. These are in the finished, unblocked stage.
Very Good, Never-Used, Condition
However, this set has been stored for many years and you may wish to have it cleaned it before using, there are some light storage spots on the white backings, no holes or damage.
