It combines the subtle texture of fine, white lawn linen with elaborate handmade lace.

A double row of drawnthread hemstitching finishes the fabric. 2 1/2" drawnwork lace borders the hanky. Each small square holds a delicate needlelace wheel.

A 1" wide drawnthread lace band decorates the center. Threads have been pulled into X patterns and stripe-textured Tenerife needlelace crosses decorate each corner.

This wedding hanky is in good, but not perfect, condition. As you can see in the top photo, there is a broken connector next to a large Tenerife cross and another broken connector thread on an outer stair-step. It has been washed and ironed and is ready for the bride.
