1 Sham.....25" long, including fringe, by 87" across, including fringeAlthough it is shown in my photos on a double bed, the size and design are more suited to the single mattress. It is 35" from outer-edge to outer-edge of the corner appliques.

Medium-weight, (heavier than a sheet) linen or linen-cotton blend fabric is machine-hemmed. 4" braid is sewn onto lengthwise sides of the spread and sides and bottom edge of the sham. The braid is tightly-woven, with emerging threads pulled into groups, criss-crossed and knotted; then hanging as a 2 1/2" fringe.
Big, beautiful, ribbon-tied bouquets and flowers form central medallions on both spread and sham and corner designs on the spread. Some of the pink flowers are 7" diameter. Petals, stems, leaves, ribbons and bows have been cut from pastel fabrics and appliqued onto the mellow ecru background. Complementary-color blanket-stitch outlines emphasize the design parts. Extra-large French knots add three-dimensional accents.
Considerable shading variations show within the appliqued pieces, whether by design or the effects of laundering or sunlight, I can't tell. There are also a few pulled embroidery threads. This set is clean and in good condition.
